AS ONE of the most famous and acclaimed singer/songwriters of all time, Bob Dylan's music is more than familiar.

But his artwork? He's been creating visual art for more than 40 years, but only exhibited for the first time last year in Germany.

Now his work is coming to the south east in the form of The Drawn Blank Series, a collection of gouache and watercolour paintings created in 2007.

The sketch-style limited edition graphics are based on drawings made by Dylan while on the road from 1989 to 1992. Demonstrating a confident use of colour and echoing the values also found in his music, writing and poetry, his work will be on display and sale at Bluewater's Castle Galleries.

At the Castle Galleries, Bluewater, June 14.
