Woolwich, Bexleyheath, Sidcup and Hayes lines disrupted by faulty Dartford train A faulty train that was held at Dartford station for a station inspection has disrupted train services today (February 14).

The inspection meant that platforms one and two were unavailable, delaying trains in the area.

At around 9.45am this morning Thameslink received information about a fault on a Southeastern train at Dartford station.

The nature of the fault meant that electrical power was switched off, preventing some other Southeastern and Thameslink trains from using the other lines through the area.

Network Rail staff and other specialist teams have now restored power, and staff are now working to get back to the planned timetable.

Southeastern has said that “this is proving to be a complex process, due to the length of the delays and the number of trains and crews affected”.

As of 12.50pm, the train which required the inspection was moved and all platforms are now available at the station again, but delays will still continue.

Southeastern trains on the Woolwich Line, Bexleyheath Line, Sidcup Line and Hayes Line are still experiencing disruption.

Southeastern services running through Dartford station may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised and disruption is expected until 3pm.

Thameslink and Southeastern have mutual ticket acceptance in place (except Southeastern High Speed services).
