SPECIALIST golf and leisure operators are being invited to submit their ideas to liven up one of Bexley's golf courses.
Bexley Council has been reviewing Barnehurst Golf course in Mayplace Road East, Barnehurst and how it could be improved and made more attractive by adding extra leisure activities on-site.
The council has appointed an external adviser, Smith Leisure, to collect ideas and proposals from commercial operators.
Bexley hopes to get down to a shortlist of three or four operators later this year and if a preferred option can be identified, the proposals could get under way early next year.
Any preferred proposals will go on public display before a decision is made.
Mark Smith of Smith Leisure said: "We will be guiding operators to maintain the green and open nature of the site."
Publicly accessible golf will remain available on the site, supplemented by other sporting opportunities.
