An investigation to establish the cause of the death of a woman is ongoing 19 days after she was found unresponsive in Chislehurst.

Officers and London Ambulance Service were called to Yester Road just after 8.20am on January 20.

The body of a 46-year-old woman was found at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed.

No signs of injury were found following a post-mortem examination on January 22.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (February 9) that it awaits the cause of the woman’s death.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 and quote reference CAD 1373/20Jan.

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 8.22am on Friday, 20 January after a woman was found unresponsive in Yester Road, Chislehurst.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

“The body of 46-year-old woman was found at the scene. “Her next of kin have been informed.

“The death is being treated as unexpected and further enquiries are taking place to establish the circumstances.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 1373/20Jan.

“To remain anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

A further statement by Metropolitan Police on January 23 said: “A post mortem took place on 22 January and no signs of injury were found.

“An investigation is continuing by the coroner to establish the cause of death.”
