A DEBATE between a panel of experts and members of the public will be held to discuss the rising tide of violent crime.

The News Of The World Save Our Streets debate will be held at community centre the Forum in Trafalgar Road, Greenwich, on June 25 at 7.30pm.

At the debate, an audience of 200 people will have the chance to quiz a panel of experts on the recent spate of knife and gun crimes committed in south-east London.

It will be chaired by former Crimewatch TV presenter Nick Ross and the invited panel will include Met Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair and the director of the Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science, Professor Gloria Laycock.
