SAFE cycling was top of the agenda when a champion BMX rider hit the playground.
Former British BMX champ Ritchie Johnson chatted to youngsters about how to keep safe while in the saddle.
His hour-long demonstrations also taught pupils at Alexandra Junior School, Cator Road, Sydenham, about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and diet.
They heard road safety advice during the afternoon event before being treated to a series of stunts and tricks.
Headteacher Hilary Jarvis said: "It was a marvellous day and very worthwhile.
"We are hoping to build some cycle sheds to get more children to cycle to school and this dynamic show was very useful."
