Police have issued an update on a motorcyclist’s condition after a crash with a car in Deptford this morning (February 2).
The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man, was taken to hospital after a crash with a car in Crosslet Vale at around 6.45am.
Police have since confirmed that the motorcyclist’s injuries are not life-threatening and not life-changing.
A2 Blackheath Road at Greenwich High Road has now reopened following a four-hour closure due to the crash.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “At 06:47hrs on Thursday, 2 February police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Crosslet Vale, SE10.
"Officers attended with London Ambulance Service paramedics.
“The motorcyclist – a man believed to be in his 40s – was taken to a south London hospital and we await an update on his injuries”.
A further statement said: “His injuries are non-life changing and non-life threatening.
“He is a 42-year-old man”.
