A BLAZE which broke out at the site of almshouses in Blackheath is being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters were called to Morden College, Kidbrooke Grove, at around midnight to reports of two buildings being on fire.
They asked for the police to attend the incident because the middle one of the three temporary buildings on the site was not alight.
This led the crews from East Greenwich and Greenwich fire stations to think the fires could have been started deliberately.
It took them around two-and-a-half hours to deal with the incident.
Anyone with any information about the fire should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
