London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a stabbing in Lewisham.

Two boys, 16 and 17, were found injured in Bondfield Road at around 2pm yesterday (January 26).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.

Two ambulance crews, a medic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer also attended.

The 16-year-old was found with knife injuries and the other boy sustained slash wounds to his hand.  

They were both treated at the scene.  

The 16-year-old was taken to hospital for further treatment. 

Their injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.  

No arrests have been made following the incident.  

Police enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. 

A Section 60 and Section 35 under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 was authorised following the incident.

This means police can stop and search anyone within the surrounding area. 

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 101 and quote reference 3797/26JAN. 

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. 

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service [LAS] at 2.02pm on Thursday, 26 January to reports of a man stabbed at Bondfield Road, SE13. 

“Officers and LAS attended. At the scene a 16-year-old male was found with knife injuries. 

“A second male, aged 17, was found with slash wounds to the hand. 

“Neither victim’s injuries are life threatening. 

“At this early stage there have been no arrests. A number of youths at the scene have been spoken to. 

“Enquiries are ongoing. 

“A Section 60 and Section 35 under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 have been authorised for the surrounding area. 

“Anyone with information or footage relating to this incident should call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 3797/26JAN. 

“Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.” 

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.01pm today (26 January) to reports of a stabbing on Lee High Road, Lewisham.

“We sent two ambulance crews, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.

“We treated one patient for minor injuries before discharging them on scene.

“We also treated a second patient for injuries at the junction between Lee High Road and Belmont Park before taking them to hospital.”
