An 80-year-old man has died after being found unresponsive in Bexleyheath. 

Emergency services were called to Bexleyheath Broadway just after 8pm yesterday (January 20).

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death was unexpected but following enquires was deemed non-suspicious.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.04pm on Friday 20 January to reports of a person unwell in Broadway, Bexleyheath.

“We sent two ambulance crews and an incident response officer to the scene.

“Sadly, despite our efforts, a man died.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service [LAS] at 20:19hrs on Friday, 20 January to reports of an unresponsive male at Broadway, Bexleyheath.

"Officers and LAS attended. A man, aged 80, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death was unexpected but following enquires was deemed non-suspicious.

"A file will be prepared for the Coroner."
