  • The tunnel was closed in both directions but reopened southbound first, followed by northbound at around 8.30pm

  • Bus services were being diverted and further delays were in Greenwich and the surrounding areas.
  • The man was brought down from the top of the tunnel at around 8.30pm and traffic began moving again shortly later.
  • He was arrested and taken into police custody on suspicion of "causing a public nuisance".
