After analysing Metropolitan Police data on where theft has occurred in Greenwich, we've rounded up the places it was most common.

This includes data from Greenwich West and Greenwich Peninsula.

There were more reported incidents of theft in Greenwich West than Greenwich Peninsula between January 2022 and November 2022.

There were 119 incidents of reported theft in Greenwich West, as opposed to only 94 in the Greenwich Peninsula area.

In Greenwich West, the hotspots for theft in November included three instances at Greenwich Park, three instances at and near Deptford Bridge and five instances at Greenwich Station.

There were 35 thefts reported in November last year which was the highest number for one month, excluding December for which no data is yet available.

It was recently reported by News Shopper that 45 mobile phones were stolen between October and December in Greenwich Town Centre.

The most common time for these thefts to take place was between 8am and 7pm, according to the reported thefts.

In Greenwich Peninsula, November was also the month with the most reported thefts last year, as 18 thefts in total were reported.

The hotspots for reported theft in Greenwich Peninsula included North Greenwich Transport Interchange station where there were six reported instances of theft and outside The O2 where there were three.
