Today we remember the two 16-year-old boys who were stabbed to death one mile apart from each other in Greenwich, one month ago today.

Charlie Bartolo was found injured in Sewell Road in Abbey Wood just after 5pm on November 26.

Kearne Solanke was also found stabbed shortly after in Titmuss Avenue in Thamesmead – around a mile away from Charlie.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to both locations.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, both boys were pronounced dead.

An investigation was launched into the stabbings and officers confirmed that both incidents were linked.

It is alleged that Charlie was deliberately knocked off a motorbike by a Nissan four-by-four vehicle containing five people.

The prosecution claimed he was set upon by a group from the Nissan armed with large knives.

Charlie suffered at least six stab wounds with the fatal blow penetrating his skull.

It is believed that Kearne was seriously injured by one of his own friends.

He was bundled into the Nissan and deposited in Titmuss Avenue, it is alleged.

Alagie Jobe, of south-east London, has been charged with the murder of Charlie.

The 18-year-old appear in custody at Bexley Magistrates' Court on December 8.

Hussain Bah, 18, and two boys aged 15 and 16, also appeared at the Old Bailey on December 6, accused over the stabbing of the pair.

Two other boys, both 16, were also arrested on suspicion of both murders.

They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The pair are due to return to a south London police station in February 2023.
