Winter weather is well and truly here as the cold arctic air sweeps over much of the nation seeing many waking up to frozen cars and icy roads.

It comes as the Met Office places a yellow weather warning for conditions as temperatures drop below single figures.

The warning urged people to stay safe and warm after they shared that there is a 90% chance of a severe drop in temperatures and icy conditions.

The Met Office added that there was an increased health risk to vulnerable patients, encouraging those at risk to be with others and have access to warm food and drink

Much of the weekend will also be very cold, with the warning in place until early Monday morning.

People are being urged to wrap up warm and we've broken down the forecasts for South East London so you know what to expect.
