A RIDING centre for disabled people has received a visit from MP Theresa May.
The centre has been successful in its bid to become a training venue for the 2012 Paralympic Games.
The Arrow Riding Club in Darenth Park Avenue, Dartford, is hoping to raise more than £1m in order to secure its place.
Shadow leader of the House of Commons Theresa May, visited the centre to see what it's like.
Ms May, who is also the shadow minister for women, said the centre helps a lot of people and if it does secure its place it will put the centre on the map.
Yard manager Victoria Perry said the centre needs to raise more than £1m by 2010 and this will be done through various fundraising activities.
Five locations across Dartford and Gravesham have been put on a list of 31 Kent training facilities which athletes can use during the build up to the games.
The other two venues in Dartford are Dartford Judo Centre in Cotton Lane and Princes Park Stadium in Grassbanks.
The Olympic committee also chose Meapa Gymnastics Club in Cedar Avenue, Gravesend, and Nurstead Court Equestrian Centre, in Nurstead Church Lane, Meopham.
