Fancy donning your skates and braving the ice this winter? Here are all the places you can go ice skating in and around South East London this year.

The Queens House, Greenwich - until 8 January 2023

Back for another year, The Queens House Greenwich makes for an idyllic spot to ice skate in front of the 17th Century palace once owned by royalty.

You can skate with beautiful views of Greenwich and some of the London skyline, there are also many other local attractions nearby such as The Royal Observatory, The Maritime Museum, and the Cutty Sark.

If you get hungry you can head to Greenwich Market where there are plenty of food stalls as well as independent traders if you fancy doing some Christmas shopping too.

The rink is open daily (accept Christmas day) between 10am-9pm and is located a short walk from Cutty Sark DLR station.

Tickets start from £16 for an adult and £10 for a child, they also offer discounts for students and keyworkers and carers go free.

Canada Park, Canary Wharf - until 25 February 2023

London’s longest running ice rink is back for another year, set in Canary Wharf with beautiful views of the London skyline this is a great place to skate with friends and family.

The 1,275 square metre sheltered ice rink means you can skate no matter what the weather, there are viewing areas as well as a bar nearby.

So, if you don’t fancy braving the ice you can sit out and watch the action!

There will be DJ nights with live music every Wednesday evening and there’s plenty of shops and restaurants nearby to really make a day of it.

The ice rink is a short walk from Canary Wharf station and is open daily except for Christmas Day A fifty-minute session costs 17.95 for an Adult, £13.50 for Children between 4-12 years and 53.95 for a family ticket.

  • Bluewater Ice Rink, Dartford - until 1 December 2023

As part of a calendar of family friendly Christmas events, Bluewater’s outdoor undercover ice rink is returning for another year.

The ice rink is situated in Bluewater shopping centre, perfect for Christmas shoppers looking to have some fun after hitting the shops.

There will also be the option to book a quiet session if you want to attend when it’s less busy, as well as parent and toddler sessions.

They also offer party nights with a DJ for the adults too.

The ice rink is open every day (accept Christmas day) and is located outside The Village.

Tickets cost £14.50 for adults, £12.50 for children and £44 for a family ticket.
