A 17-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Peckham.

The incident happened in Southampton Way at 9.50pm yesterday (November 18).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.

The boy was taken to hospital for treatment.

His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

Police enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 101 and quote reference CAD 7509/18Nov.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 21:50hrs on Friday, 18 November to reports of a male stabbed in Southampton Way, SE5.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The male – aged 17 – was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not life threatening.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.

“Anyone with information that could assist is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 7509/18Nov.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
