A 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Peckham.

The incident happened in Rye Lane just before 4.15pm on September 23.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.

The boy was taken to hospital for treatment.

His injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.

A 31-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He remains in police custody.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Officers were called to Rye Lane, SE15 at 4.14pm on Friday, 23 September following a report of a stabbing.

“A 15-year-old boy was found suffering injuries.

“London Ambulance Service attended and transported the victim to hospital where his injuries were deemed non-life threatening and non-life changing.

“A 31-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of GBH he remains in custody. 

“The investigation continues.

“Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 4783-22Sep.

“Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
