The first floor of a derelict detached home has been destroyed in a fire that broke out in Chislehurst.

Firefighters were called to a house fire on Holbrook Lane yesterday (September 12) at 6.17pm.

The first floor of a derelict detached house was destroyed by the fire and the first floor was damaged.

There have been no reports of any injuries.

Six fire engines and 40 firefighters from Sidcup and Bromley fire stations were at the scene.

The fire was under control just after 7.30pm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a house fire on Holbrook Lane in Chislehurst.

“The first floor of a derelict detached house was destroyed by the blaze and the first floor was damaged.

“There were no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade was called at 6.17pm and the fire was under control by 7.33pm.

“Fire crews from Sidcup and Bromley fire stations were at the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
