A POLISH man may be sent back home after a court heard he has not finished a jail term there.
Grzegorz Kmita, of Packham Road, Gravesend, appeared at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on March 4.
The court was told 28-year-old Kmita had been given a two-year jail sentence in Poland in December 2004.
This related to offences concerning 450g of cocaine and other narcotics imported from Peru.
Kmita failed to attend prison on the allotted day and as a result he still has one year, 11 months and four days to serve.
Rebecca Hill, representing the Polish Government, told magistrates the extradition moves began after Kmita was arrested in Gravesend.
A full extradition hearing has been scheduled for April 16. Kmita was granted bail.
