PARENTS and children had a fun day of learning at Kent Childrens University.
More than 96 parents and children from six primary schools attended the oversubscribed Family Learning Day at Wilmington Hall School, Common Lane, Wilmington.
Six courses were on offer video filming, explosive science, biology, glass painting, art, and the world of teddies.
Some of the children on the video filming course persuaded Dartford Mayor Councillor Mike Dando to take a lead role in their movie. In a dramatic twist in his acting career, the mayor was assassinated before the killer escaped in a getaway car.
Nicky Dawson, Dartford area manager for Kent Childrens University, said: The event only cost £1, thanks to subsidies provided by Dartford Borough Council. Everyone had a great day.
