A man is in hospital after a car crashed into the front of a Lidl store in Bromley.

The man, aged in his 20s, was stood at the entrance of the shop when the car crashed into the Burnt Ash Lane store at around 8.20pm on August 29.

Police, ambulance and fire crews flocked to the scene.

The driver was taken to hospital as aa precuation.

No arrests have been made.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 20:20hrs on Monday, 29 August to reports of a car in collision with a shop in Burnt Ash Lane, Bromley.

"Officers, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade attended.

"A man aged in his 20s, who was stood in the entrance of the shop, was taken to hospital where he remains. We await an update on his condition.

"The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.

"No arrests have been made."
