SOME bank branches across south London are set to permanently close their doors.

The closures come as more people turn to online and mobile banking.

Data from the cash machine network, LINK, shows which banks have publicly announced in 2022 that they’ll be closing their branches.

We found that two HSBC bank branches in south London have already closed this month.

Another two bank branches have also closed today.

Three HSBC branches will close in September.

These are in New Malden, Beckenham, and Wandsworth.

Halifax in Mitcham and Lloyds in Purley will also close at the end of November.

A further two banks will see their doors shut in December.

These are Barclays in East Dulwich and Lloyds in West Wickham.

HSBC announced the closure of 69 bank branches earlier- it had already shut 82 branches last year.
