Visitors here praise both the cost and quality of the food.

This family-run pub appears to have a real traditional style and a huge spacious beer garden to soak up the sunshine.

If you prefer eating at home, there are also options for takeout or delivery as well.

A Tripadviser review reads: “After having read many great reviews about this pub's Sunday lunch me and a friend decided to try it and I must say what an excellent Sunday lunch it was the roast beef was very tender and well-cooked just as I like it.

This pub is located in a pleasing countryside location close to the villages of Darenth and Hawley.

A huge 16th-Century inn with even bigger plates of Sunday roast.

This is another venue with a large beer garden so that you can make the best of the good weather.

A Google review reads: “The best Sunday roast for miles around… big plate with lots of meat and veg and piping hot…. Beautiful.. always my go to Sunday lunch.. and always a welcoming vibe.”

  • The Plough - 65 High Rd, Dartford DA2 7BW

The Plough’s website says that it provides “traditional favourites, served with a contemporary presentation” so their Sunday dinners don’t just taste amazing, they look good too.

This place is a great pub to bring your kids along to as they can burn off their energy in the play equipment in the beer garden.

Another traditional pub with jaw-dropping views of the countryside from the beer garden.

Reviews seem to repeatedly highlight the great “old school roast potatoes” cooked in meat fat as well as the friendly staff.
