A MAN from Orpington has been charged after an off-duty police officer was stabbed in Strood.
The incident happened during the early hours of July 18 in Commercial Road.
Harvey Smalling, 19, of Eldred Drive, was charged with affray and grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court.

The officer was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries.
He has since been discharged.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "A man from Orpington has been charged after an off-duty police officer was stabbed in Strood.
"The assault took place in Commercial Road during the early hours of Monday 18 July 2022.
"Following the incident, the officer was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries.
"He has since been discharged.
"Harvey Smalling, 19, of Eldred Drive, was charged with affray and grievous bodily harm with intent.
"He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court."
