Firefighters are still at the scene of a grass fire in Joyce Green, Dartford.
One fire engine, an all-terrain vehicle, and a ranger vehicle remain at the scene of the fire in Durrell Dene.
12 fire crews were called to the blaze at 11.54am on Tuesday and this later increased to 18 fire engines as the wildfire spread.
The fire continued to burn throughout Tuesday night, but the operation was scaled down to six fire engines.
Crews are now searching the affected land for any remaining hotspots.
Fire crews are damping down the area to prevent the fire from reigniting.
People are being urged by the brigade to avoid walking on the charred areas of the ground.
This is due to the remaining toxins and fumes that will be present for days to come and can be bad for the health of people and animals.
Gareth Johnson, the MP for Dartford, said the Kent Fire and Rescue Service “literally threw everything they had at these fires despite incurring heat exhaustion and injuries themselves.”
He added that the hot and dry weather meant everyone had been expecting and “dreading” an event like this happening.
The fire service is no longer warning people in the area to keep their windows and doors closed.
The latest Kent Fire and Rescue update, issued just before 12pm today, said: “One fire engine, an all-terrain vehicle, and a ranger vehicle remain at the scene of the fire near Durrell Dene, in Joyce Green, Dartford.
“Crews are carefully searching the affected land looking for any remaining hotspots and damping down as they go, to prevent the fire from reigniting.
“Firefighters are urging people to avoid walking on the charred areas of ground, as remaining toxins and fumes that will be present for some days to come, can be bad for the health of people and animals.”
