A thief from Bromley has appeared in court after stealing a woman's belongings at a Tesco store.

Ashley Lewis admitted to stealing a grey purse containing a set of keys, driving licence, £20 in cash and a bank card from a woman.

The 29-year-old stole the items at the Tesco store in Holmsdale Road in Bromley.

He was ordered to pay a total of £468 for the offence during a hearing at Bromley Magistrates' Court on July 13, 2022.

This includes a £283 fine, £100 in compensation and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Lewis, of Lower Gravel Road in Bromley, must pay this by August 10.
