A man has escaped a maisonette fire in Charlton.
The fire broke out in Maryon Grove at 4.45am yesterday (July 12).
The second and third floors of the maisonette were partly damaged by the blaze.
A man left the property before the arrival of the brigade.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire was under control by 5.35am.
Fire crews from East Greenwich, Plumstead, and Eltham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters dealt with a maisonette fire on Maryon Grove in Charlton.
“A spilt-level maisonette on the second and third floors was partly damaged by fire.
“A man left the property before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 4.45am and the fire was under control by 5.35am.
“Fire crews from East Greenwich, Plumstead and Eltham fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.”
