THE driver of a BMW has been fined more than £1,000 after admitting to drink driving in Dartford.

Robert Usher, of Lyon Oaks in Bracknell, was stopped while driving on the A2 in Dartford on October 15, 2021.

There were 126 milligrammes of alcohol in a sample of 100 millilitres of Usher’s blood - which exceeds the prescribed limit.

The 31-year-old was fined £1,079 for the offence during a hearing at Medway Magistrates' Court on May 27, 2022.

This includes a £960 fine, £34 to fund victim services and costs of £85.

Usher was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 14 months – which can be reduced to 14 weeks if he completes a course by February 19, 2023.

The fine for the offence was ordered to be paid by a lump sum of £500 followed by £579 per month commencing June 23, 2022.
