It’s been a gorgeous weekend in London and the good news is the sunny weather is set to continue.

South Londoners should prepare to get your sun cream on and head to the park after work because it’s going to be a scorching day and evening.

London is due some cloud but mainly sunny spells and dry, hot weather all day with temperatures reaching 33°C.

3pm – Sunny cloudy 29°C

8pm – Sunny cloudy 27°C

Forecast in full:

Today:

Any isolated shallow fog patches at dawn will rapidly clear. A dry and hot day to follow with long spells of sometimes hazy sunshine, and generally light winds. Cooler in coastal areas. Maximum temperature 33 °C.

Tonight:

Staying dry overnight with some clear spells, although there will be increasing amounts of higher level cloud. Temperatures remaining warm, perhaps uncomfortably so. Minimum temperature 16 °C.

Tuesday:

Mostly dry and still hot. However, it will become generally cloudier through the day, perhaps with the odd spot of rain arriving in the evening. Maximum temperature 31 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Dry with sunny spells. Warm or very warm but feeling fresher than earlier in the week, although temperatures trending upwards again on Friday.
