A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after a crash on the M25.

The crash happened just after 7pm on Thursday, July 7 close to junction 5 of the M25 and in the direction of the Dartford Crossing.

A man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The incident involved a white Citroen van and a white Yamaha motorcycle.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Collision investigators are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured on the M25.

“The collision happened at around 7.05pm on Thursday 7 July 2022, at a location close to junction 5 and in the direction of the Dartford Crossing.

“It involved a white Citroen van and a white Yamaha motorcycle.

“A man, aged in his 40s, was taken to a London hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.

“Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are seeking information from anyone who has not yet spoken to police, including those who may have seen either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.

“Motorists are asked to check dashcams for any important footage and police are also keen to hear from drivers of several vehicles which stopped at the scene and who provided assistance before emergency services arrived.
