A man has been charged after an incident in Eltham where three people were assaulted.

George Coulston, 29, appeared in custody at Bexley Magistrates' Court on June 20.

Coulston, of Bromley, is charged with two counts of GBH with intent; one count of common assault; one count of criminal damage and one count of failing to provide a specimen while in charge of a vehicle.

It follows an incident at around 7.45am on June 18 in Berryhill.

Two people - a man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s - were injured.

They were both treated at hospital and later discharged.

A man in his 40s was assaulted but did not require medical attention.

Coulston has been remanded in custody to a date in mid-July when he is due to attend Woolwich Crown Court.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "A man has been charged following an incident where three people were assaulted in Eltham.

"George Coulston – 29 (20.03.93) of Keedonwood Road, Bromley appeared in custody at Bexley Magistrates’ Court ] on Monday, 20 June charged with two counts of GBH with intent; one count of common assault; one count of criminal damage and one count of failing to provide a specimen while in charge of a vehicle.

"The charges relate to an incident at approximately 07:45hrs on Saturday, 18 June in Berryhill, Eltham.

"Two people – a man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s – suffered injuries; both were treated at hospital and discharged.

"A man in his 40’s was assaulted but didn’t require medical attention.

"Coulston has been remanded in custody to a date in mid-July when he is due to attend Woolwich Crown Court."
