30 vehicles were ordered to leave Dartford and Greenhithe by police last weekend in an anti-social behaviour crackdown.

Officers were on patrol in Greenhithe and Dartford between Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25 after ongoing complaints from locals about the behaviour of some drivers.

Kent Police has warned that drivers who use their vehicles in an anti-social manner could have them seized and be issued fines.

A dispersal order under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 had been put in place to prevent large groups from congregating.

Three drivers received fixed penalty notices for speeding in Crossways Boulevard on the Friday.

Police also issued a warning to a driver in the same area regarding anti-social behaviour, while another was issued a notice to leave immediately and not return to the area for 24 hours.

Community Safety Unit Inspector for north Kent Police, Trevor Jenner, said: “These latest results are evidence of our ongoing efforts to crackdown on drivers using their vehicles in an antisocial manner in the area.

‘We understand residents have concerns and we are responding to these concerns by ensuring a continued visible police presence where drivers causing antisocial behaviour are being robustly dealt with.

“Those motorists who persist in continuing to frequent the area causing antisocial behaviour will risk further fines and having their vehicles seized.”

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Thirty vehicles were ordered to leave a car park during a weekend crackdown on drivers using their vehicles in an antisocial manner in north Kent.
