A lodging apartment in Greenwich has been reviewed as one of the worst in the borough on TripAdvisor.

The O2 lodging apartments, in Blackwall Lane, have ranked number 12 of 14 hotels in Greenwich, making it one of the worst reviewed.

The venue, which is run by Stay Inn Apartments, is currently sitting on one and a half stars out of five and is being branded as a “total scam” and “unreliable.”

A spokesperson for Stay Inn Apartments said that bosses will be focusing on business, corporate and "loyal guest" bookings.

They say they will reduce all party bookings which has caused damage to apartments and properties.

One reviewer labelled their stay as “do not book” by complaining about the “poor” room service.

They said: “Do not book this place.

“Read all reviews before booking.

“If you still book you are very stupid, I can go on and on about the issues I faced.

“I will not waste another minute on this place. Very poor service. Nothing like the photos.”

Another reviewer, who visited the venue during their birthday, branded the stay as “terrible”.

They said: “Booked this in advance for my birthday, the communication from the aparthotel staff was extremely violent and rude.

“They did not accommodate my stay, really surprised because they were just as horrid as the booking agent.

“Will never book again and always ask for what agents deal with these types of properties. Lesson learned.”

The hotel has received 58 “terrible” reviews out of a total of 69 reviews altogether.

Another guest, who visited in March 2021, claims she was welcomed by "filthy sheets" and found chewing gum on the bedside table.

They said: "No help at all given prior to arrival Filthy sheets and duvet Chewing gum on the bedside table

"No bulbs in bedside lights.

"I had to pay a £250 deposit which I wasn't told about at the time of booking .

"When I pointed out how dirty it was, they said it had been checked by 2 members of staff before we stayed so basically saying we are lying.

"This company should be closed down."

A spokesperson for Stay Inn Apartments said: "[The bosses] are focusing on Business, Corporate and loyal guest bookings and to reduce all party bookings and damages caused to their apartments and properties.

"They are successful and currently happy with their regular, loyal and corporate guests."
