A man has been arrested after five people were assaulted in Dartford.
Police were called to reports of attempted shoplifting in Dartford yesterday (June 9).
Five people were also assaulted at the scene.
The suspected fled the scene but was soon arrested by Town Team officers in Dartford.
Police say the suspect will be put in the next available court.
Kent Police said: “A shoplifter who travelled to #Dartford today and attempted to steal from a store and then assault 5 people before making off was swiftly apprehended by Town Team Officers.
“Over to #VBCT now to get him put in front of the next available Court. #NotInOurTown #SaferDartford.”
