Two men have been arrested after a man was assaulted following a dispute over parking in Dartford.

Officers arrested the suspects after it was alleged that two men had pushed a third down some communal steps before seriously assaulting him.

The incident reportedly stemmed from a parking dispute in Hardwick Crescent at around 8.30pm on Monday.

A 35-year-old man from Hackney and a 30-year-old man from Dagenham were both arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The 30-year-old man was further arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and possession of class B drugs.

Both men have been released on bail until June 14 while officers carry out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "Patrolling officers have arrested two men following a report that a man had been assaulted after a dispute over parking in Dartford.

"Officers made the arrests at 11.55pm on Monday 23 May 2022 after it was alleged that two men had pushed a third man down some communal steps before seriously assaulting him.

"The incident was reported to have stemmed from a parking dispute in Hardwick Crescent, Dartford, at around 8.30pm.

"A 35-year-old man from Hackney and a 30-year-old man from Dagenham were both arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

"The 30-year-old man was further arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and possession of class B drugs.

"Both men have been released on bail until 14 June while officers carry out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident."
