A woman who is accused of using false identities to assist her in a number of jewellery thefts across London has been arrested.

Police have been trying to track down the suspect for the last six months.

The South East Fugitive Team linked the different false identities she was using and found out from a partner agency that she was staying in Romania.

A woman returned from Romania on Monday using a false passport and was arrested by officers after she came off the plane.

Bexley Police tweeted: “#Arrested “1 Arrested for theft who has been wanted for over six months.

“Great work by our South East Fugitive Team in tracking her down and @MetTaskforce for making the arrest.

“More below.

“The South East Fugitive Unit has been working for the past six months on apprehending a female wanted for numerous high value jewellery thefts across London.

“They managed to link all the different false identities she was using and also found through intelligence checks with a partner agency that she was in Romania.

“On Monday, she returned from Romania on a false passport but because the Border Agency were aware of her false identities, she was arrested by TSG when she came off the plane.

“Great work by our South East Fugitive Team with support from Met Taskforce.”
