Three drug dealers from south east London and Kent have been jailed for dealing crack cocaine and heroin.

Leesean Francis, Robert Downey and Mohamud Salah have been jailed for selling Class A drugs across Medway.

Downey, of Magpie Hall Road in Chatham, was arrested inside his home along with Salah.

During a search of the house, officers found mobile phones that were used for drug dealing.

Salah, of Coupland Place in Woolwich, was found in possession of 50 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin along with a large amount of cash.

A mobile phone was also found on the 21-year-old which held bulk marketing messages for the Blacks drug network.

His role in the operation was as a drug runner for distributing across Medway.

CCTV showed Downey, 40, carrying out drug deals near his home as well as Francis visiting the house in Chatham several times.

Kent police carried out a warrant at an address on Beckenham Road at the same time as they searched the house in Chatham.

Francis, 22, of Bridgetown Close in Norwood, was found inside the property at Beckenham Road with several mobile phones.

These phones were later identified as being used as part of the drug network.

The group admitted their charges and were sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on May 16.

Francis admitted to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin and he was jailed for five years and eight months.

Downey admitted to being concerned in the offer to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

Salah admitted possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine as well as possession of criminal property.

They were both jailed for two years and three months.

Investigating officer John Carless of Kent Police said: “This is a justified sentencing for three drug dealers who targeted vulnerable people across Medway.

“Drug dealing not only destroys the life of the user but affects their friends and family.

“Drug dealing and drug use causes a blight on local communities and often leads to anti-social behaviour.

“We will continue to work hard in order to disrupt the supply and distribution of drug networks across Kent and Medway.”
