A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after reports of a crash in Penge.

Police were called just before 5pm yesterday (May 21) to reports of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in High Street.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital where his condition remains not life-threatening.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

Emergency services attended the scene.

Investigations are ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call police on 101 quoting the reference CAD 4992/21May.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 16:55hrs on Saturday, 21 May to reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist in High Street, Penge.

“Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service.

“The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50, was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

“Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 4992/21May.”
