A woman has been found dead inside a car in Bromley.

Emergency services were called to Glovers Close in Biggin Hill on May 7 shortly after 1.15pm where a body was discovered.

Officers say specialist support was requested after suspected hazardous chemicals were found inside the car.

There was no danger to the wider public.

Investigations are ongoing as police are working to identify the woman so that her family can be informed.

Her death is being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police are working with emergency service partners following the discovery of a body in a car in Glovers Close, Biggin Hill at 1.15pm on Saturday, May 7.

“Specialist support was requested after hazardous chemicals were suspected to be inside the vehicle.

“There was no danger to the wider public.

“Officers are working to identify the deceased – believed to be an adult female - and inform next of kin.

“The death is being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
