Dartford police have rescued a swan that they saw walking along University Way and returned it to a nearby lake.

PC Smith and PC Midford slowed down traffic and collected the bird off the road.

The swan was given a ride in the police car and returned to a nearby lake.

They could not resist dropping some Hot Fuzz puns in their tweets.
