TRAIN services are cancelled this morning after a stabbing near Greenwich station.

It comes after Southeastern rail announced that the station is closed shortly after 6.20am today (May 1).

Emergency services were called to reports of a stabbing in Greenwich High Road.

A man, aged in his 30s, was then taken to hospital where he died shortly after.

It means that train services running through the station are cancelled.

The disruption through the line is expected to last until 3pm.

This will affect Southeastern, Thameslink, and DLR services.

Commuters are advised to allow an extra 15-20 minutes as they will need to use an alternative route to complete their journey.
