A man fighting for his life is among two who were taken to hospital following a stabbing in Beckenham.

British Transport Police were called to the scene in Beckenham Junction station at around 5.20am on Saturday.

Ambulance crews also attended and two men in their twenties were taken to hospital.

One remains in a critical condition.

On Sunday, a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.

He has since been released on conditional police bail.

Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "British Transport Police were called to Beckenham Junction station at 5.18am on Saturday 2 April following reports of a stabbing.

"Paramedics also attended and two men in their twenties were taken to hospital, where one remains in a critical condition.

"The following day a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.

"He has since been released on conditional police bail.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
