A man from Bexley has been fined more than £2,000 in court for arriving in England without a Covid testing package.

Jefferson Samuelson arrived at the Stansted Immigration Service Port on March 26, 2021 without having booked a Day 2 and Day 8 Covid test.

Samuelson, 19, did so "without reasonable excuse", according to the courts.

Samuelson, of Sandpiper Drive in Erith, was subsequently fined £2,026 in total for the offence during a Single Justice Procedure hearing at Greater Manchester Magistrates' Court on March 21, 2022.

This includes a £1,760 fine, £176 to fund victim services and costs of £90.

This must be paid by May 16, 2022.
