A planning application is to be submitted for new homes and a hotel in Eltham.
The application proposes a new building between three and five storeys with a total of seven homes and a hotel containing 63 rooms on Orangery Lane.
The site is located to the west of the Marks and Spencer car park and to the north of TK Maxx.
A public exhibition was held in 2019 where more than 100 people attended to share their views on the potential plans.
The number of homes was reduced from nine to seven following the public consultation.
A total of 62 per cent of residents supported the scheme.
Amendments to the window designs were made due to public concerns of the building over-looking Eltham primary school.
A two-storey industrial building is currently located on the site.
The application proposes a “car-free” hotel with accessible nearby public car parks for residents in need.
Greenwich Council recently approved a residential development on Merlewood Place.
An online consultation on Monday, February 7 at 6.30pm will be held for residents to have their say.
An application will be submitted to Greenwich Council in Spring 2022 with plans to complete the works by late 2024.
The site is owned by Deco Design and Build Limited.
