A woman from Greenwich was fined more than £2,000 for failing to book Covid tests before landing in the UK.

Roussel Stephanie, 44, of Harlinger Street, arrived at Heathrow Terminal 2 on March 1, 2021, having failed to book day two or day eight Covid tests “without reasonable excuse”.

She was found guilty by Tameside Magistrates' Court on January 24, 2022.

The court fined her an initial £1,760 for the offence, an extra £176 to fund victim services and £90 for the costs of the Crown Prosecution Service.

She was given until February 21 to pay the total figure of £2,026.
