There are severe delays on approach to the Blackwall Tunnel after two closures due to vehicle breakdowns this morning.
The A20 through Lewisham, A2 from Blackheath towards New Cross and roads in Greenwich are congested, with both incidents affecting the northbound tunnel.

The first breakdown saw the northbound tunnel close shortly before 7am, reopening at 7.15am.
A second breakdown at 8am saw the tunnel close again for ten minutes, as emergency services removed the trapped vehicle.
