Two teenage girls were sexually assaulted in separate incidents by the same suspect last week in Greenwich.
A 16-year-old girl in school uniform was assaulted on Poplar Place on Wednesday (January 12), while a 17-year-old was followed off a 422 bus the next day and attacked on Wellington Street.
Enquiries have led police to believe the same suspect was behind the assaults.
Officers have advised girls to keep to “busy, well-lit areas” where possible, and have increased police presence.
We’ve unfortunately had two linked incidents of sexual assault in @Royal_Greenwich over the past few days.

Sergeant Geoff Warren said: “I would like to say again that I do not intent to cause any unnecessary worry and that incidents like this are rare.
“We are taking the matter extremely seriously and there will be an increased police presence in the area.”
