A man has been arrested for carrying a hammer outside Bromley South train station.

Officers on Bromley High Street stopped the man for a weapon search.

The man was found with a hammer inside his jacket.

He was afterwards arrested and charged for possession of an offensive weapon.

Bromley Town Centre Police (@MPSBromleyTown) tweeted: “Officers on Bromley High St detained a male outside Bromley South Train Station for a search for weapons and found a hammer inside his jacket.

“He was subsequently arrested and charged for possession of an offensive weapon.”
