A man has been given a community order and slapped with a fine after stealing £200 worth of goods from the Asda store in Bexleyheath.
Daiel Ejata, from Lewisham, admitted to stealing the products on July 11, 2021 from the Bexleyheath supermarket chain.
The 35-year-old was fined £330 and given a community order in a hearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on January 6.
Ejata must take part in an accredited programme for 30 days, and comply with any instructions of a responsible police officer or participate in any activity as required up to a maximum of 15 days by July 5, 2023.
He must also carry out unpaid work for 60 hours within the next twelve months.
The fine includes compensation of £150, £95 to fund victim services and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
